Mr. Jack Hardy Murphy, 77, passed away on Aug. 19, 2021, at his home in Perry.

He was born Sept. 7, 1943, in Perry to Floyce Murphy and Jewel Dykes Murphy.

Jack honorably served his country in the United States Army Reserves. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyce and Jewel Murphy.

He is survived by: his wife, Stella Murphy; children, Robert Murphy and Sonia Murphy; grandchildren, Jonathan Murphy, Calub Murphy, Chelsea Sparks and Taylor Murphy; great-grandchildren, Triston Murphy, Grayson Murphy and Kashton Murphy; brothers, Billy Murphy, A. B. Murphy, Roger Murphy; and sisters, Judy Tharpe and Cathy Wilson; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services were held on Monday, Aug. 23, at 11 a.m. at Burns Funeral Home of Perry with the Rev. Keith Parker officiating. Interment services will follow immediately afterward in Woodlawn Cemetery. The family received friends one hour prior to the service.
