On Monday, Aug. 30, the Friends of the Taylor County Public Library will host a virtual Zoom program featuring author Virginia Czaja, who has written most of her contemporary romantic situational comedies under her pen name of Virginia Crane.
Czaja was born in Washington, D. C. and grew up in Alexandria, Va. A retired nurse, she and her husband now live in Port Charlotte.
Since retirement, she has written 18 romantic comedies, with most of the action taking place in the small, but fictional, south Florida towns of Peas and Calusa.
Monday’s live Zoom program will primarily be about “The Calusa Series,” which deals with contemporary problems and romantic adult situations in a small town in which everybody appears to know everything about everybody else’s lives.
The program will being at 5:30 p.m.
