Wanda Sarah Murphy

Wanda Sarah Murphy, 63, passed away on Aug. 19, 2021, at her home in Jacksonville.

She was born Dec. 26, 1957, in Perry to Everett Junior Murphy and Wanda Katherine Shaw Murphy.

Sarah enjoyed her grandchildren. She was also an artist who loved painting, sketching and nature photography.

Sarah had a green thumb for growing flowers and gardening. She was also a very creative writer and storyteller. She had a big heart for animals.

Sarah was preceded in death by: her father, Everett Junior Murphy; her sister, Esther Lyons; and her grandson, Lee Sieja Jr.

She is survived by: her daughter, Karmen Sieja; two grandchildren, Nate and Logan Sieja; sisters, Rose Walker and Suzan Murphy Bain; and brothers, Hal Murphy and Rad Murphy; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Aug. 28, at noon at Burns Funeral Home of Perry. Interment services will follow immediately afterward in Woodlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends  one hour prior to the service, from 11 a.m. To noon, at the funeral home.
