Following through on action she outlined at last Thursday’s Perry City Council meeting, Code Enforcement Board member Tonya Holton has filed an ethics complaint against Councilman Mike Deming alleging he misused his public position by parking his vehicle on a city sidewalk.

Holton has confirmed that she mailed a complaint to the Florida Ethics Commission on Monday and that the substance of the material echoed the charges she brought before the city council last week.

Mayor Daryll Gunter told Holton that the proper venue for her complaint was the Florida Commission on Ethics and that the city council could not take any action on the issue.
