46 inmates are COVID positive at County Jail

Families of incarcerated inmates are alleging “irresponsible” handling of a coronavirus outbreak within the Taylor County Jail after more than half of the male inmate population recently tested positive.

“I have a son that is currently an inmate at the Taylor County Jail. I was horrified when he sent a message saying six of them were moved to a new cell because out of the 22 inmates, they were the only six that were COVID-19 negative,” Desiree Parker said.
