Samantha Ann Bedell, 49, passed away on Aug. 21, 2021, in Tallahassee.

She was born Nov. 2, 1971, in Tampa to Sammy Carson Sturgill and Lou Ellen Nix Sturgill.

Samantha was a Christian. Samantha worked as an industrial electrician assisting in wiring numerous industrial complexes from here to California.

She loved to play her little phone game, word puzzles, drawing, reading and walking, and loved to dance.

She had a passion for Native American art and attending pow wows.

Samantha was preceded in death by: her sister, Amanda Rhodes; her brother, Jeremiah Sturgill; her grandparents, Jake and Ida Lou Nix; uncles Jake Nix and Gordon; and aunt, Lizzie Beth Costa.

She is survived by: her daughter, Karissa Bedell; grandchildren, Quinten Jackson, Annaleigha Jackson and Cason Jackson; her parents, Sammy and Lou Ellen Sturgill; her brother, Samuel (Wendy) Sturgill; and sisters, Louise (David) May, Tammy Lang and Sharon Sturgill; as well as a host of nieces and nephews and greats.

A celebration of Samantha’s life will be held on Saturday, Sept. 11, at 6 p.m. at Burns Funeral Home of Perry.
