    Richard D. “Dicky” Smith, 75, passed away on Aug. 25, 2021, in Tallahassee.

    Dicky was born July 18, 1946, in Greensboro, N.C., to Ralph and Dorothy Smith.

    He worked for 42 years as a rural letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service in Perry.

    He was a member of the Three Rivers Hunting Club. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with many of his family and friends.

    He also enjoyed his mornings with his friends at Huddle House and Holton Still.

    Dicky was preceded in death by: his wife, Nancy Linton Smith; his parents, Ralph and Dorothy Smith; and his great-grandson, Davis Martenn.

    Dicky is survived by: his children, sons, Richard Todd (Kristi) Smith and John Linton, daughters, Miste (Rodney) Mann and Kirste Jones (Danny Coley); grandchildren, Tuesday (Zack) Bailey, Charles (Kasey) Atkins, Brittney (Greg) Hammond, Harlee Honeycutt, Dalton Atkins, Hailey (Karri) Hopkinson, Joshua Jones, Ryne, Ethan and Kira Linton, and Presley Clary; great-grandchildren, Gunner, Paesleigh, and Bella Atkins, Oliver and Delilah Bailey, Cade and Quinn Hammond, and Madeleine Martenn.
