COVID-related absences in the Taylor County School District fell to 238 students and staff this week, translating into a 30% drop in the number of those who missed school due to either testing positive or being exposed to COVID-19.
The data released by the school district on Wednesday, Sept. 1, reflected a drop of 101 individuals (29.8%) from one week prior, when the district reported 339 COVID-related absences across the five campuses on Aug. 25.
