Although the ongoing Delta-variant surge of COVID-19 has strained staff and facilities at Doctors’ Memorial Hospital (DMH), hospital officials are expressing some optimism that the worst may have come and gone.
DMH CEO Chris Schmidt, who has spent much of his time over the past month and half working directly in the hospital’s COVID ward, addressed the Taylor County Commission this week, providing an update on the condition of the hospital, as well as the spread of the disease here and across the state.
