Keith Reed, 56, of Steinhatchee passed away Sept. 7, 2021. He was born on July 29, 1965, to Faith and Broward Reed in Perry. He was a member of Jena Baptist Church and worked as a field technician at the Big Bend Water Authority. Keith had a great sense of humor and was always available to help his community. He enjoyed air boating, fishing and spending time with family, friends and his dog, Turbo. He was preceded in death by his brother, Chad A. Reed Sr. He is survived by: his wife, Renee; sons, Heath (Brooke) Reed and Kason (Loralei) Reed, both of Steinhatchee; grandchildren, Brennly and Dawson; parents, Broward and Faith Reed; brother, Dudley (Cindy) Reed of Cross City; sisters, Lynna’ (Marc) Graves of Tallahassee and Pamela Reed (Kimbo) Revels of Steinhatchee; five nephews, Dylan (Tymber) Reed, Tyler Dyals, Holden (Madison) Revels, CJ Reed and Caden Reed; three nieces, Caylan (Dalton Edwards) Reed, Taylor Dyals and McKenzie Revels; two great-nephews, Daxton Edwards and Levi Revels; and a great-niece, Addie Edwards. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 11, at the Rick Gooding Funeral Cross City Chapel with Brother Wayne Philmon officiating. Burial followed at Waters Memorial Gardens in Steinhatchee. The family received friends one hour prior to the service.
