Alice Rene’ Stringfellow McGuire took her journey to paradise and into the loving arms of our Heavenly Father on Sunday, Sept. 12, 2021, in Mobile, Ala. Rene’ was born in Taylor County on June 18, 1952. She was raised in Perry, where she called the PerryFoley Airport and Spring Warrior areas home for years. As an adult she spent many years living in Alice Rene’ Stringfellow McGuire Georgia, on Lake Seminole, where she enjoyed summers with all her babies. Rene’ eventually returned home to her roots and her family, where she lived out the remainder of her life. Rene’ was known by many titles including Mama, Aunt Rene’ and Aunt Nay, but her favorite was always Nanny. She was known for her unwavering faith in Christ. She spent her life faithfully serving the Lord, spreading His word everywhere she went. All that met her, felt the love of Jesus. Her laugh was infectious and she radiated joy. She had a spirit that was larger than life, and selflessly cared for her family. Rene’ was loud and proud, always singing and dancing. She was thankful for her great, big family and found the most joy in big get-togethers and holidays where she would cook for her family, and spend time with her children, grandbabies and grandbabies. greatRene’ was welcomed in Heaven by: her mother and stepfather, Hattie Juanita King and William H. King; her father, Fredrick Alexander Stringfellow Sr.; brothers, Ricky Stringfellow, Ronnie King and Ander Wood; and sisters, Patricia Perry, Eloise Russell and Rhonda Stringfellow. She is survived: by her daughter Nacy (Jason) Embry; son, Jerry (Heather) McGuire; grandchildren, Chelcy (Timmy) Hunter, Haley (Connor) Johnson, Justin (Ashley) McGuire, Fenita (Mikey) Neal, Carrie McGuire, Ember Sprigle, Macie McGuire and Christina Embry; great-grandchildren, Aubrie, Kyleigh, Addison, Camden, Jax, Haven and Tripp; sisters, Cathy Wood, Annette Grantham, Peggy Allen and Jeannie Haggerton; brother, Alex Stringfellow; nieces, Leandra, Shandra, Maranda, Felicia and Laura; nephews, Ricky and Eric; greatnieces and great-nephews, James, Rusty, Ethan, Tyler, Mary Catherine, Tayler, Trever, Rhett, Bruce, Hudson, Dale, Keinan and Parker; and lastly, her greatgrandson dogs, Navin and Thaddeus; along with many other babies she considered family. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, Sept. 18, at 5 p.m. at Burns Funeral Home of Perry. The family will receive friends prior to the service, from 3-5 p.m.
