The North Florida College (NFC) Public Safety Academy is proud to partner with the NFC Foundation and Sniffen & Spellman, P.A. of Tallahassee to host North Florida Law Enforcement’s Top Gun Sharp Shooter Competition on Saturday, Oct. 16.
The competition, to be held at NFC’s indoor firing range in Madison, is a free event open to law enforcement officers, including retired officers, in Columbia, Dixie, Hamilton, Jefferson, Lafayette, Madison, Suwannee and Taylor counties.
“We are looking forward to a fun competition,” said Rick Davis, NFC Public Safety Programs Director. “It’s a free event. If you are an officer or retired officer, all you need to do is reserve your spot by Oct. 14.”
The event begins at 9 a.m. and will end at approximately 12 p.m. or with the last shooter.
There is no charge to participate, and courses of fire will be shot using NFC Public Safety Academy provided .40 and .45 caliber ammunition. Officers and retired officers can register online at www.nfc.edu/foundation-giving/top-gun.
