Commission approves $61 million budget, keeps millage rates level

The Taylor County Commission unanimously approved its $61 million budget for the 2021-22 fiscal year, keeping property tax millage rates steady, while allowing increased property value assessments to help fund raises for all county employees.

Although tax rates will remain the same as the current year, increases in property values across the county are expected to produce $688,000 in additional revenue for the new fiscal year.
