Glover resigns midterm

While Taylor County School District students and staff returned to school Tuesday after a teacher planning day, Superintendent of Schools Dr. Danny Glover Jr. was absent — opting to take a week of personal leave following his sudden resignation on Friday, Sept. 24.

In a surprising and unexpected resignation letter emailed late Friday afternoon, Glover stated that his decision to resign with three years remaining on his four-year term “was personal in nature.”
