The City of Perry is poised to receive more than $3.4 million in American Rescue Plan Act grant funding over the course of the next two years, but has not yet decided what the top priorities will be when it comes time to spend that money.
On March 11, 2021, the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) was signed into law by President Joe Biden. The legislation created the “Coronavirus State Fiscal Recovery Fund” and established the “Coronavirus Local Fiscal Recovery Fund” intended to provide support to state and local governments responding to the impact of COVID–19 and aid in their efforts to contain COVID–19 on their communities, residents and businesses.
