TCI drug scare

Taylor County Sheriff’s Office (TCSO) deputies responded to a suspected fentanyl exposure at Taylor Correctional Institution (TCI) Monday night that sent one inmate to the hospital and endangered several officers who were also exposed.

Fentanyl is a powerful synthetic opioid similar to morphine, but 50 to 100 times more potent.
