Edward Cullen “Eddie” Horne

Edward Cullen “Eddie” Horne, 71, passed away on Oct. 3, 2021, in Tallahassee.

Eddie was born Nov. 3, 1949, in Vero Beach to John Horne and Lois Bell Horne.

He loved to fish and be on the ocean. Eddie began work installing elevators when he was 23 years old and eventually became an elevator inspector in 2006. He was considered a good friend and would gladly lend a hand to help anyone.

Eddie was preceded in death by: his parents, John and Lois Horne; his wife, Wanda Horne; second wife, Marsha Dixon Horne; son, James Horne; and his brother, Glenn Horne.

He is survived by: daughter, Debra Bell and her husband, Gregory; granddaughter Cheyenne; brother, Jerry Horne; and sister, Barbara Davison; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, Oct. 8, at 2 p.m. at Salem Missionary Baptist Church with Brother David McMullen officiating. The family has indicated that there will be no interment service. The family will receive friends today (Wednesday) from 6-8 p.m. at Burns Funeral Home of Perry. All arrangements are under the direction of Burns Funeral Home of Perry.
