Registration begins for pet parade & costume contestTime

Get ready to PAW-TY!

Registration is now open for the annual Strut Your Mutt Pet Parade & Costume Contest slated Friday, Oct. 22, in conjunction with the Florida Forest Festival Kids Parade.

Entry forms are available at the Perry-Taylor County Chamber of Commerce and Ragans Ace Hardware. There is a $10 entry fee per pet, and pets must be at least four months old.

Prizes will be awarded for owner/pet look-alike, funniest, most creative/original, scariest and cutest costumes.

Vaccinations must be current and current rabies tag worn. (If no tag, please bring proof of vaccination from your veterinarian.)

Registration will begin at 5 p.m. at the amphitheater at Rosehead Park. The parade will kick off at 6:45 p.m.

All participants will receive goodie bags.
