Local COVID cases fell 38% last week

After holding steady for three straight weeks, the weekly number of new COVID-19 cases reported in Taylor County fell by 38% last week to its lowest number since July.

According to the latest weekly COVID report from the Florida Department of Health (DOH), there were 45 new cases reported in the county over the seven-day period ending Thursday, Oct. 7. This is down from the 73 cases reported the week before.
