Traffic stop leads to gun and drug charges against Perry man

A Perry man was arrested on drug trafficking and other charges Sunday, Oct. 3, after Jefferson County deputies discovered a weapon and illegal drugs during a routine traffic stop for speeding.

Shakier August, 27, of Perry posted a $53,500 bond and was released from the Jefferson County Jail the following day.
