Steinhatchee resident Ed Pintado’s fingers are worn and calloused — strong from strumming a bass that matched him in size for nearly three decades.
Whether he was performing for 10 people or 10,000, Pintado played bluegrass — and everything in between — with passion since 1978, setting the rhythm for the Osborne Brothers, Bill Monroe, Ricky Skaggs, Kenny Baker and more “Bluegrass biggees.”
