‘Excellent’ rating at regional event

The Taylor County High School (TCHS) “Pride of Taylor” Marching Band earned “excellent” ratings in seven categories, a pair of “superior” individual awards and finished third overall in “Musical Technique” at the 2021 Florida Marching Band Regional Championship (FMBC) held in Fleming Island.

A total of 35 members of the “Pride of Taylor” boarded buses at 6 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 9, heading to just outside of Jacksonville to participate in the program’s first competition since 2017.
