Proposed nationwide opioid settlement could result in $800,000 for Taylor County and Perry

Taylor County officials were recently notified by Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody that a settlement has been reached in lawsuits between states and counties and various pharmaceutical companies regarding the distribution of opioids.

According to initial estimates, Taylor County and Perry could receive a combined total of $806,000 through the settlement if they are ultimately qualified to participate.
