Frank Mason Seay, 76, of Oviedo passed away peacefully Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2021. Frank was born Dec. 17, 1944, in Birmingham, Ala., to his loving parents Thomas Seay and Margaret “Elizabeth” Slater Seay.He grew up in Birmingham, graduating from Shades Valley High School in 1963. He continued his education at the Georgia Institute of Technology, where he received a BS in mechanical engineering in 1967. On June 12, 1967, he started his 36-year career with Procter & Gamble at the Mehoopany, Penn., plant where he was a technical engineering group leader.In 1968, Frank and his future wife, Judy, met at Procter & Gamble and enjoyed a rapid romance, marrying within six months. They immediately started a family and had a wonderful journey of 50 and a half years. Frank later transferred to the Procter & Gamble Buckeye Foley Plant in Perry, where he held various positions ranging from forestry engineer to capital cost technology supply manager and engineering supply manager (wood prep). The family relocated to Perry in 1980, making it their home for 28 years. Through the years Frank kept himself occupied with family, woodworking, bird watching and genealogy research. The draw of family and grandchildren brought Frank and his wife to Oviedo in 2008. There was no greater love than that he had for his family. The year 2014 brought about big changes for the family, as his wife was diagnosed with cancer, and Frank dedicated all of his efforts to make his wife as happy and comfortable as she could be. He combined their love of birds and his passion for woodworking, creating many beautiful carvings of their favorite birds.Frank was predeceased by: his wife, Judy Wilsey Seay, and his parents, Thomas Seay and Margaret “Elizabeth” Slater Seay.He is survived by: his brothers, Tom Seay (Veronica) of Solana Beach, Calif., and Stanley Seay (Brigitte) of Springville, Tenn.; and daughters, Meredith Pergola (Mark) and her children, Lindsey, Lauren and Morgan of Orlando, and Rebecca Villar (Albert Gallof) and her children, Courtney and Brandon Villar of Windermere. A gathering of family and friends will be held Saturday, Nov. 6, from 9-10 a.m. at Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home, Oviedo Chapel. Funeral services will be held from 10-11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 6, at the funeral home, with a committal service to follow at Glen Haven Memorial Park in Winter Park. A reception will follow at the home of Mark and Meredith Pergola. Arrangements have been entrusted to Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home, Oviedo Chapel, 501 E. Mitchell Hammock Rd. Oviedo, Florida 32765.
