With Taylor Senior Citizens Center (TSCC) officials worried that their industrial-size freezer could fail any day, the Taylor County Commission has agreed to fund up to $20,000 of the estimated $30,000 cost to replace it.
TSCC President Diane Landry first approached the county commission at its Oct. 19 meeting, outlining the challenges facing the program, especially providing food service for in-home patients, which she said costs more than the income the organization receives.
