Calls for justice

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) said Tuesday it could take a least a month before agents have an update in their investigation into an apparent inmate suicide at the Taylor County Jail last week.

Family and friends of the inmate, Zha-Corbe Reaves, 20, gathered in front of the courthouse Thursday afternoon to protest “the lack of supervision by jail staff” and to raise awareness of mental health issues. Protestors walked from the courthouse to the jail, carrying signs calling for “Justice for Corbe.
