    Catherine Myrna Louise (Baxter) Archer

    Catherine Myrna Louise (Baxter) Archer of Perry passed away on Sept. 22, 2021, at the age of 88. She was born on April 5, 1933, in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, where she grew up with her parents, four brothers and three sisters. She attended nursing school in Ottawa, Canada, where she became a registered nurse. She worked as a RN and public health nursing supervisor. She was actively involved in the First Presbyterian Church Choir and Chimes. She was an auxiliary volunteer with Doctors’ Memorial Hospital. She was a poll worker during elections. She participated in several mission trips to Jamaica as a registered nurse. She is preceded in death by: her parents, Robert and Catherine Baxter; her husband, Delmar Lee “Jack” Archer; her sister, Sandra DeGroseilles; and brothers, “Buddy” Baxter and Warner Baxter. She is survived by her two sisters and two brothers: Carol Liski and family, Hugh Baxter and family, Richard Baxter, and Sue Featheran and family; along with a host of beloved cousins, nieces and nephews. She is also survived by: her children, Cynthia Ann Keller of Lake City, Katherine Kalani Swearingen of Thomasville, Ga.; stepsons Robert Archer of San Francisco, Calif., and Daniel Archer; her grandchildren, Dominick Archer, Christopher Palombo, Brendon Swearingen, Brandon Archer, Michael Archer, Kailey Swearingen and Ryan Swearingen; and great-grandson, Jack Swearingen. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial/celebration of life service at First Presbyterian Church of Perry on Sunday, Nov. 21, at 3 p.m. A reception will follow in the fellowship hall.
