The Taylor County Commission spent more than an hour Tuesday evening discussing a proposed new lease agreement between the county and Doctors’ Memorial Hospital (DMH) Board of Directors for the continued operation of the hospital.
A number of DMH board members were present for Tuesday’s workshop as commissioners talked about the lease and the hospital. Much of the discussion once again centered on a proposed clause in the lease which would give DMH the authority to partner or participate with a regional health care system, with the resulting partnership having the authority to appoint additional members to the DMH board.
