Registration is underway for the fourth annual Gingerbread House Workshop planned Friday, Dec. 3, starting at 5:30 p.m.
“Leave the mess at home — come join in and bring your holiday spirit, as this workshop allows children to design and decorate their own gingerbread houses,” 4-H Extension Agent Abbey Tharpe said.
The registration fee is $15 per child.
The workshop, hosted by Taylor County’s UF IFAS Extension, will be held at the Swann Venue, located at 200 North Washington Street (across from the Taylor County Historical Society).
It is limited to the first 30 participants, ages three to 13.
“We appreciate Earl Swann for donating the use of his downtown venue. We will be adhering to UF/IFAS guidelines, and masks are expected,” Tharpe said.
Registration forms are available at the Taylor County Extension Office at Forest Capital Hall.
The event is being held in conjunction with the Taylor County Historical Society’s downtown “Christmas on the Square” and the Chamber of Commerce’s “Santa’s Little Helpers Christmas Parade,” which will begin at 6 p.m.
