Just as students earn letter grades for their academic performance, so do school districts and each individual school site.
However, due to COVID-19 and the learning gaps that developed when schools had to close due to the start of the pandemic last year, the Florida Department of Education (FDOE) gave districts and schools the option of “opting out” of being graded for the 2020-21 school year.
