Jurors took right at one hour and 30 minutes Thursday, Sept. 26, to convict Paul McNutt, 71, of first degree murder for the December 2011 shooting deaths of Lee Spees Sr., 70, and Lee Spees Jr., 47.
McNutt was also found guilty of attempted first degree murder of David Spees, 44.
Sentencing immediately followed the verdict announcement, with Judge Greg Parker sentencing McNutt to two life sentences for the top two counts. McNutt was also given a 35-year sentence (25 minimum/mandatory) for the third count of the indictment.
