William Hardy Cruce Sr., 64, passed away on Nov. 3, 2021, in Perry at his home surrounded by family and friends.
Bill was born Feb. 28, 1957, in Perry to James Hardy Cruce and Lillie Mae Seay Cruce.
Mr. Cruce was a Baptist and was a member of Friendship Baptist Church.
Bill was a lead man with Martin Marietta. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. He was a loving Papa to his grandbabies.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Lillie Mae Cruce.
He is survived by: his wife of 19 years, Judy L. Cruce; his children, Billy, James Kelly, Gabriel Cruce, Cosina Hobbs, Christina Phillips, Candace Phillips and Misty Murdock; his siblings, Carol (Ronnie) Metcalf, Danny Cruce, Marilyn (CW) Walker and Ralph (Stephanie) Cruce; and 17 grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, Nov. 6, 2021, at 11 a.m. at Burns Funeral Home of Perry with Ronnie Metcalf officiating. Interment services followed in Pineview Memorial Cemetery. The family received friends from6-8 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 5, at Burns Funeral Home of Perry.
