Milledge Theodore “Mitch” Revels

Milledge Theodore “Mitch” Revels, 79, passed away on Nov. 4, 2021, in Tallahassee.

Mitch was born Nov. 2, 1942, in Mayo to Wilbur T. Revels and Ada Edna Duckworth Revels.

He was a Baptist and a member of Charity Baptist Church.

He worked as a truck driver with M R &R Transportation for many years.

He was born to be a “Papa Mitch” – he enjoyed spending all the time he could with his granddaughters.

Milledge was preceded in death by: his parents, Wilbur and Ada Revels; his daughter, Jeannie Gilbert; his sisters, Idell Bass and Evelyn Simmons; a brother, Theater Revels; and granddaughter, Patsy Gilbert.

Mr. Revels is survived by: his granddaughters, Naomi (Sherwin Jr.) Davis and McKinsey Gilbert; great-grandson, Sherwin Davis III; sisters, Diane Page, Betty Bowden and Edna Adkins; and a dear friend Ora Nute; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

Graveside services were held on Saturday, Nov. 6, at 3 p.m. at San Pedro Baptist Church Cemetery with Brother David Prevatt officiating.
