County gives $1,000 bonuses

For the first time in recent memory, the Taylor County Commission has agreed to provide bonuses to all county employees in the same year that county workers also received a pay raise.

During its Tuesday, Nov. 16, meeting, the county commission voted 3-0 to provide a $1,000 bonus to all 232 full- and part-time employees — including those employed by the five constitutional officers — while 31 seasonal and call-in employees will each receive $100.
