City remains cold on freezer funding

Despite a follow-up request from the Taylor Senior Citizens Center (TSCC) for funding to help purchase a new walk-in freezer, the majority of the city council continues to stand by a 2019 policy prohibiting the donation of taxpayer dollars to non-profit organizations.

TSCC Board President Diane Landry returned to the city council on Nov. 10 to again request the city donate toward the cost of replacing a walk-in freezer used to serve in-home meals to local senior citizens.
