Man in wheelchair is injured in crash

Just 10 minutes after clearing the scene of a fatal car crash on the west end of Ash Street Wednesday, Perry Police Department (PPD) officers were dispatched to a second serious crash with injuries on the east end of Ash Street – this one involving a man in a motorized wheelchair.

The man, who lives in the area, was struck by a passing motorist while crossing the roadway at the intersection of Ash Street and Jefferson Street (in front of 3 Nelson’s restaurant).
