    Mildred Glover Sission

    Mildred Glover Sisson, 95, passed away on Dec. 2, 2021, in Mayo.

    She was born May 18, 1926, in Hartford, Ala., to Sam Fulford and Ada Starling Fulford.

    Mrs. Sisson was of the Methodist faith and was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.

    Mildred, along with her husband, Frank Glover, was owner/operator of Glover’s Antiques, Glovers Mary Carter Paint Store, Dansby’s Fashions and Mi-Deb Fashions, and most recently held a chair at Debbie’s Jewels.

    She was a former member of the Perry Woman’s Club and the Order of Eastern Star.

    In her spare time she enjoyed Ezell Beach, crabbing and fishing with her grandchildren, and in her retirement she enjoyed traveling, shopping and playing golf.

    Mildred was preceded in death by: her first, husband Frank Glover; her second husband, Art Sisson; her son, Danny Glover Sr.; and her parents, Sam and Ada Fulford.

    Mrs. Mildred is survived by: her daughter, Debbie (Tommy) Hall; her daughter-in-law, Patricia Glover (Keith) Baron; her adopted son, Marshall (Kim) Millican; six grandchildren, Darin, Heidi, Danny Jr. (Julie), Jenna, Jessica (Raymond) and Will (Amanda); and nine great-grandchildren, Madison, Madden, Landen, Colson, Callen, Brady, Tilt, Everett and Danny Ray; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

    Funeral services were held on Saturday, Dec. 4, at 3 p.m. at Burns Funeral Home of Perry with Brother Eddie Pridgeon and Brother Keith Baron officiating. Interment services followed Pineview Memorial Cemetery. The family received friends one hour prior to the service, from 2-3 p.m, at the funeral home.
