    Howard Glenn Simons

    Mr. Howard Glenn Simons, 91, passed away on Dec. 5, 2021.

    Glenn was born April 15, 1930, in Madison to J. O. Simons and Irene McLeod Simons.

    He honorably served his country in the United States Air Force.

    He went to work for Buckeye then for Procter & Gamble, where he retired after 30-plus years.

    He was a member of the Perry Masonic Lodge # 123, the Perry Shrine Club/Marzuq and a member of the Scottish Rite. 

    He was also an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved his Lord and he loved his family.

    Glenn was preceded in death by: his wife, Nancy Simons; his parents, J. O. and Irene Simons; his brother, Curtis Simons; and two sisters, Iris Swain and Imogene Swearingen.

    He is survived by three daughters, Linda Satterwhite, Charlotte Ellison and Sharron Dee Ladd and her husband, John, as well as a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

    Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Dec. 9, at 11 a.m. at Burns Funeral Home of Perry with Brother Chris Arnold officiating. Interment services will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery with Masonic Rites. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, from 10-11 a.m., at the funeral home.
