Michael R. Romano, 62, of Salem, NH passed away unexpectedly on Monday, December 7, 2021 due to complications of COPD.
Michael is survived by his parents, Ralph and Patricia Romano of Salem, NH, sisters Michele L. Romano of Salem, NH, Theresa M. Romano & husband Robert Cardin of Fort Meyers, FL, brother Raymond M. Romano and wife Carol Romano of Manhattan, niece Bianca Rose and husband Allan Rose, great nieces Katalina & Sophie Ray, great nephew Allan Rose, as well as his many friends and his extensive gymnastic family. Mike lived life passionately. He put so much love, encouragement and drive towards his work, family and his many friendships. He was an excellent athlete who adored golfing, fly fishing and baseball. He was an amazing motivator and mentor in whatever sport he chose to participate in. Gymnastics was his lifelong devotion, where he was a phenomenal coach, motivating so many to be the best versions of themselves. His life’s mission and source of joy was to push his gymnasts to their limits, make them believe in themselves and apply the values he instilled in their future lives. We have lost a good man, but his spirit and legacy will live on in the hearts of all those that Mike has touched.
Memorial services will be held after the holidays in Perry, FL and Salem, NH, with dates to be determined.
