The driver of this pick-up truck was transported to Doctors’ Memorial Hospital after suffering “visible,” but non-incapacitating, injuries in a single-vehicle crash on Hwy. 19 in front of Westgate Motel on Monday.

The lone occupant of the Chevrolet pick-up truck was traveling southbound on Hwy. 19 when the vehicle drove into the median and struck a road sign before taking out a palm tree. The impact, combined with sliding sideways in the soft median, caused the vehicle to overturn on its roof, stopping traffic for some time until the roadway could be cleared.
