John Wesley Walker Jr.,

John Wesley Walker Jr., 62, passed away on Dec. 23, 2021, in Georgia. 

John was born Sept. 22, 1959, in Perry to John Wesley Walker Sr. and Betty Ann Walker.

He honorably served his country in the Florida National Guard.

John lived for hunting and fishing.

He was preceded in death by: his father, John Wesley Walker Sr.; grandmother, Katie Ezell; two uncles, Wayne and Toby Walker; two aunts, Leota Gregory and Chaney Dotson; grandfather, Leon Carlton Walker; grandparents, Carl and Betty Roye; and his uncle, Larry Jordan.

He is survived by: his mother, Betty Ann Walker; two children, Rachel Walker and her husband, Josh, and his son, Shane Walker and his wife, Kim; grandson, Kodie Walker; one brother, Carl Walker; and two aunts, Carol Jordan and Dorea Sowinski and her husband, Joe; as a well as niece and nephews, Christina, Wesley and Steven.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 30, at Burns Funeral Home of Perry.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Heart Association or to your favorite charity in his name.
