Firefighter credited with saving several homes

A Taylor County firefighter is being credited with not only saving a home in Steinhatchee from a fire that began in a first-story garage, but potentially several neighboring structures as well.

According to Taylor County Fire-Rescue (TCFR) Chief Dan Cassel, the initial call came in at 2:42 a.m. Monday morning during the height of the high winds from the winter storm system passing through the area .
