93, passed away on Dec. 31, 2021, in Dowling Park. He was born Sept. 6, 1928, in Marlinton, W.Va., to Albert Curry Sr. and Silvia Wentz Curry.
John honorably served his country in the United States Navy during WWII and the Korean War.
He was of the Methodist faith and was a member of First United Methodist Church.
He worked with Proctor and Gamble in the forestry division.
John graduated from the University of Michigan in 1953 with a degree in forestry.
He was a member of the Perry Elks Club, he enjoyed woodworking and his West Virginia farm.
John was preceded in death by: his parents, Albert Curry Sr. and Silvia Wentz Curry; his wife of 59 years, Jo Curry; his two brothers, Albert Jr. and Sam Curry; and his three sisters, Rhea Wallace, Rachel Cleek and Vita Wade.
He is survived by: three sons, John C. Curry Jr. and his wife, Shirley, George Curry, and Bruce and his wife, Melesa Curry; his daughter, Pam and her husband, John Tate; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
The family received friends from 10-11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 4, at Burns Funeral Home of Perry.
