 Mrs. Tillie L. Gainey, 92, died Friday, Dec. 31, 2021, in Monticello.

She was born on July 11, 1929, to Amel and Lucenda Johnston.

She was a resident of Perry for 68 years.

She worked as a CNA for several years at Doctors’ Memorial Hospital, and retired from Martin Electronics. She was a member of Lakeside Baptist Church. 

She is survived by a daughter: Sarah McClellan of Waukeenah; three stepchildren; two step-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be today (Friday) at 10 a.m. at Lakeside Baptist Church in Perry, followed by interment at Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church one hour prior to the service, from 9-10 a.m.
