    Rhonda Butler Stringfellow

    Rhonda Butler Stringfellow found her joy again on Aug. 17, 2021, in Tallahassee. She was 64 years old.

    Rhonda was born Feb. 6, 1957, in Baxley, Ga., to Clayton and Clois Mixon Butler. She was the youngest of seven children.

    Rhonda was of the Christian faith and a very active member of the Church of God of Prophecy during her youth. She loved to sing her praise and was known among family and friends for standing strong in her faith.

    Rhonda worked at St. Mark’s Powder, a General Dynamics Company, as a logistics specialist for more than 15 years. She loved her job and her coworkers.

    Rhonda loved the life she built, surrounded by friends and family on the Aucilla River.

    She was preceded in death by: her parents, Clayton and Clois Mixon Butler; her husband and best friend of 30 years, Frederick “Ricky ” Stringfellow; one brother, Lamar Butler; and two sisters, Mary Hutcheson and Laverne Hardy.

    Rhonda is survived by: her daughter, Diane and her husband, Shane Knowles; her brother Tony (Donna) Butler, two sisters, Geneva Walker and Latrelle (Russell) Colson; and five grandchildren,  Matthew Walsh, Michael Knowles,  Brandon Knowles,  Mack Knowles and Zack Knowles; as well as four great-grandchildren. 

    Rhonda was also “Aunt Rhonda” to so many.

    A celebration of her life is planned for Saturday, Jan. 8, at 1 p.m., at the Family Worship Center, located at 1304 N. Jefferson Street in Perry.
