Johnnie Andrew White

Johnnie Andrew White, 85, passed away on Jan. 10, 2022. He was born May 30, 1936, in Steinhatchee to Leroy White and Cora Byrd White. Johnnie was an avid commercial fisherman. He worked at Buckeye for 36 years, retiring as a crane operator. He then went on to own and operate Johnnie White Sanitation. Johnnie was preceded in death by his parents, Leroy and Cora White, and two sisters, Betty Quiette and Mildred Land. He is survived by: his wife, Millie Ann White; and children, Jimmy Ray White, Lanita Dale Welch, Lucretia Desauliners, Rebecca Glover (Mark), Jessie Andrew White, Mark Davis (Christi), Timmy Davis (Tina), Micah Davis (Karen), David Osteen (Sherri), Malcom Osteen (Heather) and Tyna Tennyson (Danny); as well as a host of grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Friday, Jan. 14, at 11 a.m. at Salem Baptist Purity Church with Brother Bobby Hiers officiating. Interment services will follow in Baptist Purity Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, from 10-11 a.m., at the church. (It is requested that masks be worn during the funeral service and visitation.)
