Pinecrest, 1st Ave. sidewalks approved for FY 2027

Two projects submitted by Taylor County officials last year to the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) have been approved for funding to help construct sidewalks along 1st Avenue in Steinhatchee and Pinecrest Road in Perry.

“We were quite pleasantly surprised that both of those projects were potentially funded,” County Administator LaWanda Pemberton said last week during a discussion over possible projects for the 2028 funding cycle.
