    1 a.m. gunfire leads to arrest

    A 70-year-old Perry man is being held on a $62,000 bond after allegedly threatening a woman with a knife and then discharging a firearm in a residential neighborhood around 1 a.m. Sunday – all while under the influence.

    Roland Edwin Chase was booked at the Taylor County Jail on charges of burglary with assault or battery, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill, firing a weapon in public or on residential property, using a firearm while under the influence of alcohol and criminal mischief (with property damage over $200).
