    Shirley Ann Hall

    Shirley Ann Hall passed away on Dec. 15, 2021, in Gainesville.A Florida native, she was born in Chancey and lived in Perry and St. Petersburg.She graduated from Stetson University in DeLand in 1955, teaching in public schools before going on to work for the Division of Workman’s Compensation. She was active in her communities with the International Sisterhood of P.E.O., Perry and St. Pete Garden Clubs, Science Center and Mrs. Sun Investment.She was an avid horticulturist.She is survived by: her husband of 66 years, Harry; her children, Cyndena (Russ) Hall, Jeffrey (Denise) Hall and Martin (Michel) Hall; five grandchildren; two sisters; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.A memorial service will be held Saturday, Feb. 5, at 1 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church in Perry.In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Cottey College of Nevada, Missouri; the Florida Baptist Children’s Home in Lakeland; or First Presbyterian Church of Perry.Joe P. Burns Funeral Home is in charge of funeral arrangements. Mrs. Hall was cremated and interred in December in a private ceremony.
