    Joseph “Joe” Bowden

    Joseph “Joe” Bowden, 70, passed away Jan. 8, 2022, at his residence in Dallas, Ga.

    Joe was born Sept. 17, 1951, to the late Winston and Ida Bowden in Perry.

    He is survived by: his loving wife of 37 years, Jacklyn Bowden; brother, Steve Bowden; children, Kimberly (Jerry) Speed, Richie (Bobbi) Baxter, Jennifer Haire (Bowden), Joseph Bowden Jr., Leah Holder (Bowden) and Jeffrey Bowden; grandchildren, Kaley (Michael) Singley, Jacob (Lonna) Baxter, Taylor Baxter, Ashley Speed and Chris Speed; and great-grandchildren, Kingston Elsberry and Henry and Owen Baxter.

    Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Winston and Ida Bowden (Morrison), and sister, Renee Brown (Bowden).

    He had a love for anything to do with hunting and woodworking. He was always in his shop making game calls or making something for his children and grandchildren. Turkey hunting was always his passion; he loved every minute he got to be out in the woods.

    Joe was a loving husband, brother, son, father, pawpaw and friend that will be missed dearly. He was loved deeply and his presence will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

    Memorial services were held at Georgia Funeral Care (4671 S Main St, Acworth, GA 30101) on Sunday, Jan. 16, at 2 p.m.
